This course will focus on building critical thinking skills to assess issues in International Development from a historical and theoretical perspective as well as from a Christian worldview and missions perspective. It will begin with a 2-day intensive on how to conduct a community assessment (Sept. 10, 11). Weekly classes will include lecture and discussion. Students will be expected to volunteer for a total of 35 hours at a local Christian community development organization and use the skills gained in the workshop to conduct a local community assessment. Restricted to Wycliffe College students.
