A study of the book of Genesis with emphasis on the theological message of the final form of the book and the use of the book in the life of the Church. Attention will also be paid to ancient Near Eastern mythological backgrounds, critical issues, and the history of interpretation. Periodic written assignments and a final exam. Prerequisite: Intro to OT (KNB1006H) or equivalent.
