Leadership in Church and Congregation

This course offers a practical theology approach to some of the central ingredients of the pastoral relationship in the polity of The United Church of Canada as outlined in The United Church Manual: "congregation" as theological concept and ecclesial construct; theology of covenant; theology of call and vocation; ethics and the pastoral relationship; conflict and leading for transformation. This course is primarily for ordination stream M.Div. students. Requirements: Readings, class participation, written work. Prerequisite: EMP 1601 or permission of the instructor.
