This course will provide theological and liturgical background as well as practice in presiding at various liturgical rites; Baptism, Eucharist, Marriage, Anointing of the sick and Christian Burial. In addition to the actual practice of the various rites, there will be required readings and quizzes based on the readings. A minimum of one full year of theology including a course in Sacramental Theology is required. Students and the professor will review together liturgical documents and Church rituals, then practice presiding at different celebrations. These will be recorded on video and reviewed with the student. Grading will be based on the student's preparation and familiarity with the rites.
