At lectures, students will be required to engage in examining the texts and music with religious relevance. They will also be required to attend and critique both recorded and live performances of liturgical music. The resources for the exploration of music will range from Gregorian Chant to Contemporary Christian Song. The Christian Year will frame analysis of the repertoire of hymns, psalms, anthems, organ literature in the European heritage; Global music resources; Iona and Taiz
