Spirituality and Religious Education

This advanced seminar will examine religious educational theories found in the spiritual writings of Loa Tzu, Zen Buddihsm, Thomas Merton, Parker Palmer and others. In each work we will look at the understanding of the self as a basis for forming a theory of religious education. Students will be expected to read primary and secondary source material, lead a seminar and write a paper.
