This program is designed to foster graduate-level competence in several basic areas of theological study, and to provide the opportunity for more advanced work in areas of particular interest to the student. It prepares the student for admission to a doctoral program. An M.A. student may complete the degree program entirely on a part-time basis. The minimum time required to complete the program is two years, the maximum allowed is six years. The program consists of twelve courses. A thesis of at least 12,500 words is also required.
The Doctor of Ministry is a conjoint degree with the University of Toronto. The program provides the opportunity to develop a comprehensive and critical understanding of ministry in which theory and practice inform and enhance one other. It is designed to assist students in gaining advanced expertise in the general practice of ministry as well as advanced skill in specialized area of research particular to their ministry.
TST is currently pursuing a conjoint PhD degree with the University of Toronto. Information about admission requirements and procedures will likely be available by Fall 2013. Once the details are known about the admission process, applicants are welcome to apply to the program. Please check the TST website for updates in Fall 2013.
