This course lays the foundation for understanding basic concepts in Development. Lectures and class discussions will build critical thinking skills to assess issues in International Development from a historical and theoretical perspective as well as from a Christian worldview perspective. It focuses on the evolution of development thinking and practice from the Marshall Plan to the Millenium Development Goals. Integrated into this is an analysis of the changing role of faith-based organizations and missions. Class participation, reflection papers and final essay. Restricted to Wycliffe College students.
