Quality Assurance & Accreditation

TST participates in the University of Toronto Quality Assurance Process (UTQAP) which holds TST accountable for its conjoint degree and certificate programs through a highly developed process of quality assurance. Through UTQAP, TST's conjoint degrees also receive provincial approval through the Ontario Universities Council on Quality Assurance Council.

TST's seven member colleges are each accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) in the United States and Canada, whose academic standards are consistent with those of the University of Toronto. TST itself is an affiliate member of ATS.

The quality assurance and accreditation division of authority is:  The member colleges lead the ATS accrediting process, in which TST participates and to which it responds in its academic planning, and TST leads the UTQAP process, in which the member colleges participate and respond in their academic planning.
