Bio
I came to Wycliffe College and TST in 2021 from Trinity College in Bristol, England, where I taught for nine years. I wrote my doctoral thesis with Prof. John Webster at the University of Aberdeen on the subject of divine love in the theologies of Friedrich Schleiermacher and Karl Barth (now published with T&T Clark), and have since developed interests in patristic and medieval theology, as well as the theology of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and the broader Reformation tradition.
I have supervised postgraduate research on Barth, T.F. Torrance, the doctrine of Scripture, Jean-Luc Marion, Bonhoeffer, the vice of acedia, English Baptist theology, Richard of St Victor, Rowan Williams, and several other topics. My present research involves questions of transcendence in systematic theology, as well as learning from non-white theologians on main dogmatic themes and the task of theological education in general.
